Casita Ballena

Living in San José, Costa Rica, we travel a lot. This home was the cleanest an freshest to date. We had a great time in the area and enjoyed the pool and grill. Thank you!

Excellent for families with young children.

Home is gorgeous, and everything including the home feels very new. Pool is nice. We had a wild experience where a giant lizard jump in and did some swimming for a minute which was possibly the most interesting wild life experience I had my entire month in Costa Rica Security is a little confusing to get your head around, but not too difficult. When you have it figured out you certainly feel safe. Less than a 10 minute walk to Uvita Beach, the whale tail at both high and low tide are very cool experiences. Highly recommend this unit.

we loved our stay in uvita the best out of all the places we visited and wished we could of stayed a while longer! house is well equipped and within walking distance to beaches and restaurants and mini markets (bakery over the road is delicious too!) we had everything we needed, the kids loved the bunk beds, plenty of storage for luggage, plenty of towels, washing machine was a huge bonus on our second week of travel. pool is a lovely way to cool off after a day of activities. Christina had recommendations for the activities we wished to do which meant I booked all our excursions in advance of coming! construction work next door did not disturb us at all and they are respectful and friendly. We loved our stay. Maybe we will be back one day who knows, thank you for having us!

Comfortable, clean, bright, modern home with plenty of room for our party of four; well-stocked kitchen, thick towels, nice bathrooms; very secure gate, alarm. Easy walkable access to local beaches (boating, surfing, whale tail). There was loud construction next door during our stay in December 2024, which we asked about in advance but didn’t get a straight answer, so maybe try to make sure that’s finished before you book (I bet it’s done by April?). The pool filter is a steady loud hum and on until 7:30 p.m. so just be aware of that on the back patio, which is lovely. Host and house manager were very friendly, responsive, and helpful throughout our stay! We would definitely book again.
